Good morning all! So happy that I am still on holiday which means I can join in at WOYWW and show you my desk. I sincerely hope that the state of my desk does not do any lasting damage to anybody. It has been years since it looked like this, but in my defense - I had so much fun!
My youngest daughter is getting married in October and we were playing around with some pretty paper for ideas for wedding invitations. Nothing looks good so far, but I live in hope. LOL
I have also tried my hand at some art journaling. I am very bad at it I am afraid, not sure if this is something I will pursue any further.I have been playing with glitter too. Nothing is safe from me and the glitter LOL. This is also ideas for the wedding. The candle I love, the glass? Not so much, but we will see.
My helper, Chicken, came to have a look at what I as doing when I was taking photo's. She seems very taken with all that glitter. I even got a 'WOW!', which made me laugh. Maybe I should put some glitter on her perch if she likes it so much?
I did manage to visit all of you last week and will be trying to do the same this week, but as from next week I am back at work, so you might see a little less from me.
good luck with the invitation ideas! Don't give up on the journalling, just play - I love it!

ReplyDeleteNice to see you here. My you have been busy and all I can say is 'Good Luck with the invitations' such a big job but how special that you are doing them for your daughter.
ReplyDeletePlease do not give up on the journalling, you just need to 'marry' some of those colourful shapes together. Surprising when you get layering and stamping how it can change.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 4 xx
Hi Tertia. What fun you have been having. I'm sure the ideas will all come together soon. Trust work goes ok when you start again.
ReplyDeleteTake care, God bless.

ReplyDeleteGreat WOYWW TFS. Happy New Year xx Jan
ReplyDeleteThe art journaling looks good. There is no right or wrong. That's what I tell myself anyway though I must admit I haven't done it for a while. I got discouraged when the paint kept leaking through the pages. Good luck with the invitations.

There is no such thing as a bad journal page. Don't judge, just have FUN! As you make more pages, you will like more and more of them, you will identify what it is you like about the page, and repeat it on the next page. Just have fun. Thanks for sharing, Lindart #39
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. Due to EXTREME COLD, ICE, WIND and now SNOW I can make more visits. I'd say a messy desk is a happy desk. Sometimes it just happens. Have fun with the wedding preparations and your journal.
ReplyDeleteAwww.. your African Grey is gorgeous.. and I WOW at glitter too hehe.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your workspace.. that is what mine looks like when I am at my happiest! I hope you find the inspiration you need for the wedding.. I know something will grab you eventually.
Have a great week,

When I tried my hand at art journalling I found I could not put any words to paper. Came to realise I do admire what others do but it just isn't for me. Loving what you are trying with the table pieces and Chicken is a hoot.

ReplyDeletedon't give up on t he journalling, it's such a good way to clarify thoughts...it doesn't have to be your best art... Donna #45
ReplyDeleteThat is certainly a very busy desk - just like it should be! Love your the glittered items - very celebratory! Congrats to your daughter by the way. If you enjoyed making that journal page, then that's all that matters and make some more! Art journalling is about the process and not the result - although we do like to create something visually pleasing, that's not the main point! Chicken is really cute - did she really say 'wow'? so sweet! Thanks for visiting yesterday! Happy belated WOYWW! zsuzsa #20
ReplyDeletebusy desk are the best, bursting with creativity. In art journaling and mixed media everything goes, just have fun and you'll see evolution in time believe me, thx for your visit Vicky
