WOYWW - What happened to Autumn?

Good morning all! School has started and I am running myself into a coma again, trying to get to everything. We started last Tuesday and since then I have had 10 meetings, the school had Matric Dance, we had parents day yesterday and I am in the middle of metings with parents of girls that are failing to try and help them pass at the end of the year. You can understand then that there is very little time for crafting.

It feels like we went straight from Summer into Winter and that Autumn has decided to skip South Africa this year! It is bitterly cold in the mornings and only the colours on the leaves are an indication that we should be having Autumn right now. My desk is looking very lonely. Just the left overs of the last bit of crafting before school started. There is a little box I made and forgot about (I wanted to fill it with some chocolate for a friend)
My DD made the local papers this week, I am a very proud mom (Please note, they used one of the photo's I took at Nationals last year! ) Such a good feeling to see it in print.
Have a great week everybody, hope to see you all this week at WOYWW

  2. I went straight from winter last week (snow and hail) to SUMMER today. What a change. Hope your weather smooths out a bit soon, but mostly hope you are able to settle your life down a bit. I understand all the turmoil that can cause. I've missed you, dear friend.

    Happy WOYWW from # 7.

  6. G'day
congrats to your daughter and shame about how busy you are...hope that settles soon and you get some creative time for yourself. I live in the tropical north of Australia and we have two seasons only...no winter just the Wet season or the Dry season. It's dry season now so humidity has decreased, night time temperature a little cooler and days are long and warm :o)

  8. Your DD is AMAZING. You're proud of her - heck, so am I!! The only consolation I can offer you to being so busy is the one that Mr Dunnit offered me after I worked the weekend and griped a bit about no crafting time - it's always there and waiting for you......(kinda adds to the frustration though huh!) Meanwhile, be busy but look after yourself...sleep well in between!

  11. Im sorry you can't seem to have any free time, just goes to show how dedicated you are to teaching and children. Now Autumn is there somewhere but I think all the seasons throughout the world are muddled, we are experiencing blizzard cold conditions today.

Happy WOYWW I hope you get creating soon.

  18. Sorry to hear you've had little time for crafting and your friend had to go without those chocs in a pretty box! It's freezing here in England today after some lovely warm days came along to fool us into thinking it was Spring. Hope you get some crafting time soon. Teaching is a great profession but a tough one. xxx#58 Julie Ann

  19. Morning Tertia, if it's any consolation we are still waiting for Spring ... the weather has been appallingly cold for too long, one sunny day last week so far and that may just have been our Summer :)) Sounds like you are super busy with school stuff - who'd be a teacher, LOL! Congratulations to your DD - she's doing incredibly well. Have a great day, Elizabeth x # 36

  25. Congrats to your daughter. Wow, I didn;t realize you were in Autumn. We are supposed to be in the Spring but it was 92 yesterday. Our first month of spring was colder than most of our winter so I think the weather is crazy all over the world.

  27. Well, gosh, work is interfering with crafting time? That just doesn't seem right. ;-)

We're still waiting for spring here in Massachusetts, too. I have shorts & tank tops that want to be worn, but not today when it's 55° F and rainy. Brrrr....

    Happy Woyww and happy creating!
