WOYWW and card thats a little different

I am happy to report that my desk is still presentable. Not squeaky clean, but still not messy. In the foreground you will see my new Martha Stewart punch and my new stamps, still unused. You will see the container with all my inks to your right and in the background to your right are my containers with brads and other small embellishments and in the middle at the back my dreaded marking. It seems like it never wants to end. Just as I finish one lot, the next lot appears. (Oh well, the lot of a language teacher, I suppose.
Here are all my stamps. Thought I would show you how I store them. Most are in CD boxes. I am slowly but surely taking all my other stamps off the wooden blocks and mounting them so that they take up less space. On top you will see all my Copics and the plastic containers hold my inks, flowersoft, Stickles etc. Now that I am looking at the photo, its obvious that it needs a good clean. If you are wondering what this is all about, visit our leader, Julia at (http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com ) .
I made a card that is very different to my normal style, but I actually really like it. The background is from the WOJ Spring kit and the little Tilda is from Magnolia's Spring kit. The images were coloured with my Copics. I used my new MS punch 9see, thats why its still lying on my desk, and some Flowersoft for dimension. Apart from that, its Bazzil cardstock and BG dp and some ribbon from my stash. Do you think this qualifies as a CAS card?
Have a lovely week everybody, hope to see you soon with some more Maggie cards.

  4. Oh I know I say it all the time, but I prefer the wood mounts..I would so miss them!! Your storage is terribly well organised...and as much as I like the card and applaud you for working outside of your comfort area, it isn't a CAS to me...love that spring scenery.

  5. Nice and tidy and organised . Never thought of CD cases for the stamps - have a few in CD cases but rest are in a folder which is bulging , 'cept for four small drawers of wood mounted ones.
No WOYWW for me this week as ES has my camera.

  11. That card is absoloutely fantastic - so much going on.
Are you telling me you are actually peeling off the stamps off the wooden blocks and storing them flat?? Ooooh I couldn't do that, sorry, that's sacrilege - they have feelings you know!!!!!!
    Happy WOYWW

  13. Fortunately I only have a few stamps on wooden blocks but it would be no good my taking them off cos I'd have to keep em just in case they came in handy for something else. Lol.

  14. Lovely card, makes me want to open up my flower soft. I bought it months ago because the sample card in the store looked so nice, but haven't been brave enough to try it out yet. Maybe tomorrow... *Hugs* -Mari(133)

  17. I'm having a really busy week but am quickly dropping by to make sure all our WOYWW friends get the chance to win the last of our weekly draws before the BIG one over in our blog shop. Pop over and join in the fun. Good luck.

  19. A nice tidy workspace. I do not have enough wood mounted stamps to worry too much about their storage, and most of my many unmounted ones are in loose leaf files. I do not put them on to mounts of any kind other than rocker blocks, which work better for me.

  22. Hi there Tertia.
Thanks for popping over running late with it a bit this week.. now that is nice thought put two bugs together to get one good one.. the Jude idea of a loose screw was accurate and has helped since I tightened the handle up .. but noticed tight it started to separate a teeny bit right hand side (near handle where it joins in half horizontally) at the top when using the rubber mat, and shims.. not too many just the usual- ie not forced... but will be very careful!!
I am looking around as can get a new bug very cheaply here I see (just at the minute) but thinking praying maybe Big Shot and use bug for just embossing and Big shot for all other stuff that causes issues..I have invested too many dies to not use them. My desk is very tidy each week so going to take a shot before cleaning day to shock everyone!!
It certainly is tip at the moment..

..Yes I think it is a CAS card but my ideas tend to be rather elastic so not best person to ask.. but I think it really nice.

  25. I remember that marking far too well - sometimes interesting; often tedious! That you find time to be such a competent and committed crafter is astounding, quite honestly! Well done you - not 'just' a teacher. Or Gran. Or Christian. It is good to have something that makes you you, and me me. Away I go, seemingly daft-headed today.

  26. Fab desk and work space - lovely cheerful card too! Shame about the CJ you were in - we've had one out of the 11 go missing and that is in the process of being tracked down at the mo. A major rule on UKStampers is that they always have to be posted by recorded delivery. LOL doesn't guarantee it will arrive, but you hope you can track it if it doesn't! Pic is up on my blog now, btw!
