My desk, as you can see, is telling the tale of my creative frenzy. I am getting very frustrated with my smaller craftroom because I can no longer hide the mess or simply step over it to get to my stash. It now piles up so quickly that I am bound to trip an fall over something very soon. I dare not show you the floor - the push back method to clean the desk has taken a real toll on the poor floor.
Here he is! The Card that holds the record for taking the longest to finish! Cast your mind back to three weeks ago when dear Luca (you can find him at La-La Land crafts http://lalalandcrafts.blogspot.com/p/customer-gallery.html )was paper hopping to find the correct backing papers. That was after it took 3 days to colour him! With it being so crazy at school and me being away on two school camps, it took a whole 2 weeks to finish this card, but I really love the way he turned out in the end. Papers are from my stash (its too long ago, I can't remember by whom) The punch is Martha Stewart and then I used some Flowersoft just to add that little something.
I came back from the two camps and then DH decided to take some time off work (I am afraid it might snow in Boksburg because he took time off work people!) and said we should go to Durban after the Easter weekend to watch DD play in the Waterpolo Currie Cup. I was not arguing when I got to spend my birthday at the sea, so that explains the extra week I was gone.
We had a great time and arrived back home on Saturday. Since then I have been in some sort of creative frenzie. I completed 6 cards and coloured another 6 Mo Manning images. This card is a Sugar Nellie image, part of the Adorables (They are just that - ADORABLE!)

This is another of the Adorable digi's. All the images were coloured with my beloved Copics (O, how I missed them!) Papers for these two cards are from Upikit and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Other than that the cardstock is Bazzil, the ribbon and butterflies from my stash and the flatback pearls I got from Paola a long time ago.
This was a marathon post, sorry. I will make it short next week, I think. Have a great Wednesday everybody and don't forget to visit Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot-com/ to visit all the other WOYWWers out there.

Like me you need a bigger house. I have figured out that I need a minimum of 25 squaremeters for my craftroom. My hubby tells me I`m cracy.

Wow that is a busy desk! Stuff just expands to fill the space allocated to it ... the more space you have, the more you need! Well, that applies to me certainly. Thanks for sharing Liz no 141
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely and lucky you going away for a holiday.

Thank you for your visit this week and if you lived over here, you would be very welvcome to come and play. Mind you, you might have to fight your way across the floor - not very tidy. Beautiful cards there and well done on making so many. If you need a hand reducing your stash I can help! I might bring Monkey to assist too!
ReplyDeleteThat punch is my latest and is by Stampin Up. Worth the pennies!
Thanks for visiting.
Your cards are beautiful, Tertia, especially the second and third ones - lovely colour, beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe floor in my ARTHaven also suffers terribly, I'm afraid! I used to think I had a lovely big room when I first started but it's so full of stuff now...
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, and I'm glad you like my mask zentangle and the lovely gift I received. It was a joy to help these 2 very special ladies and I certainly did not expect anything in return, and I was so thrilled to receive it.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #58
Seems you came back from your break and ready to create these lovelies! Great cards! Your desk is a frenzy of creativity LOL!
ReplyDeletewhat gorgeous cards Tertia.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments on my WOYWWer post - about my OCD and probably having a fit if I saw yours... I say that with tongue in cheek - because there are only certain things that i'm a bit funny about. Thing is, there is so much more that's just a tip. I have had to let things go because I have two teenage boys who don't care and don't help keep things spick and span - so rather than send myself doolally, I let things slip- but not my ink pads, ribbons, buttons, papers, scraps - things that have a colour about them or if I have many things that can be themed. My little piece of the world where the boys won't mess up!
Best wishes and happy WOYWW 150-

ReplyDeleteLove the flower arrangement on card number three, but they are all beauties.
Your cards are really beautiful and some yes take heaps longer than others to make, sometimes it just doesn't work the way you want them too.

I did chuckle over your comment about snow in Boksburg - my best friend lived there for 12 years and actually managed to go and stay in '95. My abiding memories are of grilles on houses, gold mine dumps, heat and braais... Oh, and Lemon Twist, can't get that in the UK!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards - I love the Sugar Nellie image, and you've coloured her beautifully!
Thanks for stopping by.
