WOYWW - Finally!!! I have time to play!

I was going to start this weeks post by telling you why I was away for so long. How very busy I have been and how bad my life is. How we have been burgled twice in two weeks and.... and then I took these photo's. I had a good look at them and realised that I am so very blessed. Blessed to have the wonderful DH who allows me to feed my hobby and that enables me to have an incredible craft room. I call this my happy place and sometimes, when life is really hectic, I just sit there and look at all the pretty rainbows and feel instantly better.
A lot has changed since the last time I came over to visit. A local scrapbooking store closed down (yes, very sad) and I was able to pick up another paper rack for a steal. I moved my computer desk into my play room, so that I can do everything in the same place. I also got a new printer. Love it!
From this view you can see my new paper rack and my improved ribbon storage. When my DH made the first one (the right side), he told me I would never be able to fill it, so, I took that as a challenge and had to! What else is a girl to do? DH and his friend made me another and the middle section to store my punches. The comment this time? I am sure you will be able to fill it, but please try not to. LOL!!
With this beautiful place to play, where do I work? In the lounge, on my fold down table (that DH made for me!), next to him, so that we can chat and solve all our problems in front of the TV.
So, you see, I do not have a bad, busy, crazy life. I am incredibly blessed!
Have an amazing week, I am on holiday and without my car, so I will be visiting everybody this week!

  1. What a rollercoaster of a time you've been having but it's so good you have so much positive in your life to focus on.....lets hope there is more good than bad in the weeks ahead of you.

  2. Burgled twice in two weeks? How horrible. I am glad you have such a great attitude about it, though. Glad to see you are still in good spirits, and you got some wonderful goodies as a result of another craft store closing (sad, isn't it?). Happy WOYWW from #2.

  3. Burgled twice?? Oh Tertia, that's awful, poor you. But I think you're right to focus on positive energy, so much better than dwelling on the bad stuff.
And feel free to make a music stand cover....I used fusible wadding on the furnishing weight fabric, just to give it a bit of toughness. Good luck!

  4. Hi Tertia, what a pretty pretty place you have and so neat!!! I wish my craft room is as roomy as yours but I'm afraid even if i had a bigger space I would fill it up again! Both my parents were "collectors"! and had their own rooms full of junk. In my mom's case, she had several rooms, and when my sisters and i got married, she filled up our rooms too! So I always blame my genes for my messy craft room! Hope you have better locks this time! Happy WOYWW! patsy

  5. Such a fun room to enjoy. Yes we all take so much for granted. No matter the size it is always too small and we do a lot of re organizing thinking it will make things easier to find things. I have to have it out or I don't use it. I love that lamp you have too. Thanks for sharing your fun space, have fun with it.

  6. It's awful to be burgled, and then twice! But it's good you focus on positive things!
Your craft room is an absolute delight! Lucky you to be able to snaffle those paper racks, even if it is because a shop closes down.
You have a lovely hubby who makes all those things for you. (Yes, I have a hubby like that too and I am so thankful)
    Thank you for visiting already,
    Have a great week,

  7. Mm, Tertia, we were warned when burgled they may come back and they did too so know what you mean you really do feel like your space is violated..

... so I really pray that you will be protected from further break-ins.. we were.. mind you we really upped our security then, and more now.
Love your craft room wonderful storage systems indeed would love a paper rack... but dont seem to see them here.
    Thanks so much for sharing.

  8. Hi Tertia, so sorry to hear about the burglaries, it's a horrible feeling, isn't it?
lolled at Hubby learning to rephrase his comments! Your room is amazing, truly.
You are right, and whatever happens to us, we can only focus on the good things in our life.
Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 xxx

  9. Blimey! A friend who was here for a visit and I cam back from the shops to find 4 guys in the house trying to burgle us. SO LUCKY we decided against a coffee out or they would have succeeded. We got the alarm installed the next week and didn't leave the house empty till it was. I cannot imagine what you are feeling after that.

Glad you still have a happy place to go to, and lucky you to have a crafty hubby - mine can sort any computer or technology issue but is useless at woodworking, cars and DIY. Swings and roundabouts, as they say...

glad to be back ... finally!

  13. Your happy place looks lovely, obviously the burglars weren't interested in craft supplies? And yes, there were eggs in the pan, and the taste combination wasn't gourmet... Happy woyww!

  19. Oh no, Tertia, being burgled twice in one week! That's terrible!!! However, isn't it amazing that in the face of terrible things, we are able to count our blessings and realise what is really important - our loving hubbies, and the gifts that we have? Your new things in your beautiful room are so lovely, and it's all looking very organised and attractive. Your hubby sounds like mine, always willing to help, to make things better and nicer for us!

Thank you for your sweet comment and your very kind words. So much appreciated. We need to stick together, don't we, and we deskers are a strong united bunch ready to take the world by storm! Thank you so much for your prayers (they are working) and I am glad you like the stuff I sent to Shaz.

    Happy WOYWW,

  22. Yes, indeed, even when there are challenges in life, when we stop and look around, we can find the blessings. And oh yes, your beautiful playroom and understanding DH are great blessings. I loved how he realized that you would be able to fill up whatever shelves there are, LOL!

But I admire your spirit and determination not to be downbeat - you have a wonderful hubby and a beautiful workspace, and I am coveting that paper rack!! I hope the burglars were caught by the way.

  24. Tertia, How awful to have been burgled twice. I have heard of burglers who do go back after a while, as they think your insurance will have paid out for you to replace the items taken the first time.

What a fab craft room you have and so lucky to have a hubby that can make the things you need.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. By the way, you are number 24, not 25.

    Happy WOYWW

  30. Oh my gosh... I was typing and my comment vanished. Your post sounds like something I could have written back in March... burgled twice in 5 days, very busy, so much stress, and yes just like you realizing I am blessed and have it good all things considered. Great job on scoring another paper rack. So sad that a store closed though. I had a chuckle at your hubby's comments "I am sure you can fill it! But please don't!" Thanks for visiting earlier and have a great time playing! Judy #51
