Good evening all. I can't believe just how quickly the last two weeks went past! When I think back, I can't believe how much we have managed to do in those two weeks either. The first weeks of school are always crammed full of so many things to do.
So I thought I would share a picture of my place of work with you, in stead of my actual craft desk (there really is nothing to see there anyway!)
When I look at photo's of the school where I teach, I am always struck by just how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to get to spend so much time there, teaching some of the most awesome teenagers that I know.Today, as any other day as a school teacher, was exceptionally busy and full. Teaching grade 10 and 11 girls the whole day and then being part of the grade 12 welcome week activities for the new grade 8 girls that started High school this year.
At one point I suddenly stopped what I was doing and just listened. Listened to grade 12 girls cheering on and encouraging grade 8s. It warms my heart to be at a school where the girls embody the school's motto -'' One School, One Spirit, One Family" In a world where negativity, prejudice and hatred seems to have taken over, these kids brought tears to my eyes with the love they were showing each other.
If you would like to see some actual desks, hop on over to Julia and visit all the amazing people that form this group.
